The Banque Populaire Maroco-Guinéenne is a cooperative bank and credit company with variable capital.
The BPMG was created in 1990 under Guinean law as part of the development of South-South relations, particularly for participating in promotion of the economy of the Republic of Guinea, as well as to support trade between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Guinea.
In accordance with the statutory provisions and other conventions for establishment and technical assistance concluded between the two governments, the strategy of the Banques Populaires Group for the bank and for the African continent in Guinea focuses on transfer of its proven know-how in the fields of banking provision to the population, financing of SMEs / SMIs, artisan industries and fishing.​
